Watermelon smoothie bowl
Best health bowl for hot days

Watermelon smoothie bowl in a watermelon shell A fruity, fresh summer dream, served in its own shell – perfect for hot days
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
½ large watermelon
200 g strawberries (fresh or frozen)
200 ml milk (or plant-based milk of your choice, e.g., oat or almond milk)
Toppings of your choice:
Fresh strawberries, sliced
Small pieces of watermelon
3–4 tablespoons crunchy muesli, granola or shredded coconut
Preparation:
Preparing the melon: Carefully hollow out half of the watermelon with a spoon. Be careful not to damage the rind – it will be used as a “bowl” later. Roughly chop the flesh and remove the seeds.
Blend the smoothie: Place the melon flesh in a blender together with the strawberries and milk. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add ice cubes or a little honey to taste.
Serving: Pour the smoothie mixture into the hollowed-out melon shell.
Topping: Garnish with fresh strawberry slices, small pieces of melon, granola and shredded coconut.
Tip: For extra freshness, the flesh can be frozen briefly before blending – this creates a kind of “smoothie ice cream.”
Nutrients:
Watermelons: mainly contain water, vitamin C, beta-carotene, potassium, and the amino acid citrulline.
Strawberries: are rich in vitamin C, folic acid, fiber, antioxidants (e.g., anthocyanins), and fruit acids.
Benefits: The bowl provides the body with plenty of fluids, vitamin C, antioxidants, and fiber—which strengthens the immune system, aids digestion, and promotes recovery after exercise.
